JEFFERSON COUNTY 2025 FALL HAZARDOUS WASTE & TIRE RECYCLING EVENT

Jefferson County’s Fall Clean Sweep is back! This annual hazardous waste collection event offers residents, farms, and small businesses a safe and responsible way to dispose of unwanted materials.

Event Location: City of Watertown Street Department 811 S. First St., Watertown, WI

  • Friday, September 19 | 3:00–5:30 p.m.

  • Saturday, September 20 | 8:00–10:00 a.m.

What Counts as Hazardous Waste?

Look for labels with words like: Danger • Warning • Caution • Poison • Flammable • Corrosive For a full list of accepted items, visit:

Registration Required

Appointments help manage traffic flow—please call 920-674-7430 to register by Wednesday, September 17 at 4:00 p.m. Wait times may vary depending on turnout.

Small Business Participation

Small businesses are welcome! Please pre-register at least 1 week prior to the event. Businesses are charged based on weight. Businesses will complete an inventory record of items they have and then will be provided with an estimated disposal cost payable at the event. Businesses may pay by credit card or company check

Fees for Households & Farms:

  • Trunk Load: $10

  • Truck Load: $50

  • Truck & Trailer: $100 Multiple households may combine items under one load. Cash preferred.

Not Accepted at This Event:

  • Unused Prescription Drugs

  • Electronics

  • Appliances

  • Latex Paint (dry it out and dispose in regular trash; empty cans can be recycled)
